Captain Obvious: Jen Psaki Admits People Only Watch MSNBC for Negative Trump Coverage

In one of the few true things she’s ever said, Jen Psaki admitted that people are only tuning into MSNBC due to its extreme bias against President Donald Trump.

They may only be tuning in by the dozens - but that is unquestionably true for them. 

Psaki acknowledged to Puck’s media reporter Dylan Byers on The Grill Room podcast that the network’s audience turns to them specifically for negative coverage of Trump.

“We’re going to talk about what the opposing party is up to, in terms of Democrats, and we’re going to talk about future leaders and things,” she said. “And, we’re also going to talk about Trump, and it’s typically not going to be positive.”

“I don’t think anybody watching expects it to be positive, right? There is not like a North Star thing written on a card and everybody does it slightly differently… that’s fairly the vibe,” she added.

Psaki revealed that her bosses hadn’t instructed her to appeal to a broader audience by featuring more Republican guests. In other words, the show only exists to preach to the choir.  “I have not experienced this like, ‘You have to move to the center, you have to have Republicans on, you have to be more moderate,’” she said. “Every show kind of has a North Star but the vibe is, kind of, under the same umbrella.”
