Anti-police Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot got a cold reception from the force when she visited the hospital where an officer is in critical condition after being shot. The officer’s female partner Ella French died from her injuries, and two brothers have since been arrested for her murder.
The father of the officer in critical condition is a retired police officer, and he directly told Lightfoot that she’s to blame for her son’s situation, and that he doesn’t appreciate her being there. When Lightloot then went to approach and speak to the officers, they all turned their backs to her.
