“Children of the Community” - Harris Resurrects Campaign-Era Word Salad During Book Tour

It wasn’t just on the campaign trail - Kamala Harris really can’t answer a question about anything without devolving into word salad. 

A campaign trail favorite of hers, “children of the community,” made a comeback while she’s out promoting her new book “107 Days,” in which she blames her loss on everyone except her. 

It happened during one bizarre tangent where she explained that people would apparently constantly pass babies around at her rallies, which she tied into her catchphrase. 

“One of my favorite things to see at our rallies, which would happen spontaneously… and there it would happen. Invariably somebody would want me to take a picture or to hug their child. And someone in the back would hand that baby over through the crowd!”

“...I could get very emotional about it right now. But I believe that we should always feel that the children of the community are the children of the community."

"There was something so magical in many ways about that."
