Clinton Claims “Many, Many, Many” People are Urging her to Run

Twice-failed presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton claims that “many, many, many” people are pressuring her to run in the 2020 race.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Clinton said, “I, as I say, never, never, never say never. I will certainly tell you, I’m under enormous pressure from many, many, many people to think about it.”

She went on to say, however, that a presidential run currently wasn’t part of her plans.

“But as of this moment, sitting here in this studio talking to you, that is absolutely not in my plans,” she said.

As Politico points out, this is not the first time Clinton has teased the idea of running for president. In fact, rumors have been circulating for well over a year that she could  be mulling yet another run.

Last month, the former Secretary of State responded to a tweet, from President Trump, writing “Don’t tempt me” after he had suggested she enter the 2020 presidential race to push out Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

Last November, former longtime Clinton advisor Mark Penn predicted that Clinton would run for President in 2020.

In an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, Penn–along with former New York politician Andrew Stein–claim that Clinton will reinvent herself as a “liberal firebrand” who would not “let a little thing like two stunning defeats stand in the way of her claim to the White House.”

The two wrote that voters could “expect Hillary 4.0 to come out swinging,” suggesting Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton could have key fundraising roles.

“She has decisively to win those Iowa caucus-goers who have never warmed up to her. They will see her now as strong, partisan, left-leaning and all-Democrat — the one with the guts, experience and steely-eyed determination to defeat Mr. Trump.”
