CNN Commentator Begs Biden to Stay in the Basement

For as much as Joe Bidenâs basement strategy was mocked, given the past three gaffetastic years, it really does seem like his best strategy is to stay as far away from a microphone as possible.
Even CNNâs Van Jones is now arguing this.
âIf I were Biden, I would stay hidden. And Iâll tell you why; he doesnât inspire confidence. Heâs not a good messenger for himself,â Jones explained.
He then went on to claim that itâs due to Bidenâs incompetence as a messenger that people donât realize how great the economy is (lol). âHe has done a tremendous job for this economy. Union members, union leaders, are racking up win after win. They should be put forward.â
âThereâs something wrong with this campaign where somehow weâre expecting Joe Biden - who quite frankly hid during the last campaign - to come out now and be Flash Gordon and save his own campaign.â
Watch below:
Not long after UAW President Shawn Fain endorsed Biden on behalf of the union - but admitted that a majority of its members will not vote for Biden.
As for the elusive beneficiaries of Bidenomics that Jones is mentioning, that the economy polls well among high earners and poorly among lower earners tells you all you need to know.
Itâs hardly even conspiratorial to doubt the economic figures the Biden administration puts out, as evidenced by all but one jobs reports last year being revised downward, which is extremely unlikely. It's as if the Biden admin put out rosy jobs reports for the coverage, knowing that the revisions wouldnât generate any.
As we reported yesterday, Trumpâs lead against Joe Biden in the RealClearPolitics average of polls has reached a new all-time high. Trump has led Biden consistently since mid-October of last year, and now has a 3.8 point lead on him, polling at 47.3% to Bidenâs 43.5%. The polls included in the RealClearPolitics average include Economist/YouGov, The Messenger/HarrisX, Morning Consult, Harvard-Harris, CBS News, Rasmussen Reports, Reuters/Ipsos, and I&I/TIPP - a majority of which overestimated Bidenâs vote share in the 2016 and 2020 elections.
