De Blasio Tries to Defend Mamdani’s “Free Buses” Policy, Fails Immediately

The widely-despised former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio recently endorsed Democratic Socialist Zohran Mandani for Mayor - though it’s unlikely to give him much of a boost considering de Blasio’s unpopularity.
One of the policies that Mamdani supports is implementing “free” (taxpayer funded), government-run buses across the city. Among his other policies includes government-run grocery stores, rent freezes, raising the minimum wage to $30, and taxing “richer, whiter” neighborhoods.
During an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” de Blasio asserted that free buses have worked in many places - but couldn’t list a single example where when pressed by host Joe Scarborough.
“Free buses have been proven to work in many parts of the country,” de Blasio said.
“Where?” Scarborough asked.
Unable to come up with a single example, he replied that he’d come up with a “list of cities.”
