New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy raised some eyebrows in February when he suggested that he was housing an illegal alien at his home.

After Border Czar Tom Homan threatened to prosecute him, Murphy changed his tune and clarified that the individual was a legal resident. In other words, he was looking for ā€œstreet credā€ from members of his own party for defiance of Donald Trump, only to admit the truth when threatened with prosecution.

While he was pretending to harbor illegal aliens in public, others power were actually doing it in private.

A Democrat judge in New Mexico just resigned after ICE arrested an alleged Tren de Aragua gang member at his home in late February.

According to the Daily Fetched:

The illegal alien, Cristhian Ortega-Lopez, 23, entered the U.S. by way of Eagle Pass, Texas, before being released under Joe Biden’s ā€œcatch and releaseā€ policy, under which migrants and asylum seekers were given court dates before being transported to the U.S. interior.

Ortega-Lopez was arrested on February 28 while police conducted a search warrant at the home of DoƱa Ana County, New Mexico, Magistrate Judge Joel Cano and his wife, Nancy. Cano, who served as a police officer before becoming a judge, allowed Ortega-Lopez to file a request for immigration relief using the judge’s address.

The suspected gang member was even caught posing for photos with the judge, according to court documents.

Bizarrely it hasn’t made the news until now, but Judge Cano resigned his position days after the raid on March 3.

The Judge and his family aren’t off the hook themselves;  it’s still being investigated whether Cano and his wife could be charged with ā€œconcealment, aiding and abetting or providing material support to a foreign criminal organization.ā€
