Ex-CEO Admits She Has No Idea What Woke Pronouns Her Company Pushed Even Mean

Once worth billions (on paper), the genetics testing company 23andme recently filed for bankruptcy, and concerns have been voiced over its genetic data on 15 million people that are up for sale.
The House Oversight Committee held a hearing this week on privacy and national security concerns regarding 23andme’s sale, and former CEO (she stepped down in March) Anne Wojcicki was there to answer questions.
One amusing exchange was with Rep. Brandon Gill, who is making a name for himself in holding liberals’ feet to the fire by asking extremely simple questions they can’t dodge.
While the hearing was focused on data privacy as the company potentially changes hands, Gill questioned the former CEO about a politically-charged post the company’s official X account made under her watch.
“23andMe has really, over the past few years, gone out of its way to show how woke it is. And one of the things that it’s been promoting, among many others, is a variety of different pronouns,” he said as he shared a Pride month post from 2021.
“Science shows using correct pronouns can impact trans people’s health by significantly reducing their risk of depression and suicide. This is one of many reasons why we have been working to improve our product for trans and non-binary customers,” the read said, along with a graphic showing fourteen absurd pronoun options ranging from the usual “He, him, she, her,” to “ze, hir, xe, xem, fae, faer, e, em.”
Gill pressed her “I just wanna ask you, what does ‘e’ mean as a pronoun?”
Hilarity ensued - watch below:
