Fauci Says It’s “Too Soon” to Consider Christmas Gatherings

We were told that we had fifteen days to slow the spread back in March 2020. Over a year and a half has passed since then, and even with 82 more days until Christmas, Dr. Fauci still thinks it’s too soon to say if people will be able to gather with their families to celebrate it.

Host Margaret Brennan asked “[Can] we can gather for Christmas, or it’s just too soon to tell?”

Fauci replied: “You know, Margaret, it’s just too soon to tell. We’ve just gotta concentrating on continuing to get those numbers down, & not try to jump ahead by weeks or months…” Oddly Fauci never differentiated to say if it would be safe for the vaccinated vs. unvaccinated to meet, and his answer seems to apply to all Americans regardless of their vaccination status.

On the bright side, Fauci flip-flops so often that perhaps tomorrow the answer will be different.

UPDATE: Since publication, “the science” appears to have shifted once again, at least for Fauci’s own family, and did finally clarify that his comment didn’t apply to the vaccination.

Dr. Fauci: “I will be spending Christmas with my family. I encourage people — particularly the vaccinated people who are protected — to have a good, normal Christmas with your family.”
