Gallup: American Pride Is Declining - And It’s All Thanks to Democrats

If one of your neighbors is flying an American flag, you can probably guess their political affiliation.
A new poll from Gallup proves what we already knew - that Democrats aren’t the party of patriotism - though surprisingly, they didn’t always think this way.
The poll revealed a massive drop in national pride among Democrats, with just 36% describing themselves as “extremely” or “very” proud to be American, the lowest level ever recorded (in the past 25 years). It was a significant drop from 2024, when 62% of Democrats reported being extremely or very proud of their country.
According to Gallup, the decrease in Democratic pride has contributed to an overall decline in national pride across the board, now at a record low of 58%.The last time over 80% of Democrats reported strong national pride was under former President Barack Obama.
In stark contrast, Republicans have maintained consistently high levels of patriotism regardless of changes in political leadership. Even in Biden’s last year in office 85% of Republicans were either “very” or “extremely” proud to be American.
