Great News for Republicans: Kamala Harris Not Giving Up Presidential Ambitions
After exiting the 2020 Democrat primary with a delegate count of zero and losing every swing state in the 2024 presidential election, Kamala Harris isnât ruling out another run.
In an interview with the BBC, Harris said, when asked if sheâs considering another run for president, "I am not done. I have lived my entire career as a life of service and it's in my bones."
"If I listened to polls I would have not run for my first office, or my second office - and I certainly wouldn't be sitting here."
The idea got laughed off NBCâs Meet the Press, of all places.
Harrisâ former communications director Ashley Etienne reacted to the story by saying that she was âvery excited about the possibilityâ of Harris running again - to which Marc Short, Donald Trumpâs director of legislative affairs during his first term, quipped âI think Republicans are equally excited to run against Kamala Harris,â - a line that drew immediate laughter from host Kristen Welker.
Harris has blamed her loss on not having enough time to successfully run a campaign (hence the title of her book â107 daysâ), however, all evidence suggested that peopleâs favorability of her declined the more they saw of her, meaning this was something that benefitted her.
