Rising star Jasmine Crockett (lol) signaled that the Democrat Party will double down on having no ideas whatsoever in the event that they take back the House of Representatives in the 2026 midterms.

Appearing on MSNBC’s “Alex Witt Reports,” Crockett responded to a question regarding potential “oversight actions” against President Trump, “Listen, so long as we end up taking the House, which I fully anticipate that we will do and we are gonna work hard to obviously help our Senate colleagues as well. Then as someone who serves on the Oversight Committee and hopes to lead the Oversight Committee, I can guarantee you that we will do what we are supposed to do as constitutionally sworn members of the House.”

She elaborated on the nonsense they’ll target Trump over this time: “That means that we will investigate, we will look at whether or not this president himself has violated the Emoluments Clause as relates to say such things as getting a $400 million plane from the Qataris. We also will make sure that we’re looking into all these business deals that they have going on.”

The Texas lawmaker’s comments follow reports that she is preparing a bid to lead House Democrats on the Oversight Committee, a position left vacant following the death of Rep. Gerry Connolly of Virginia.

House Republicans have a thin 220-212 majority, which was so small that Rep. Elise Stafanik had to be dropped for UN Ambassador to avoid further chipping away at it. The year started with the balance at 220-215, but three Democrats have passed away, two in March and one just days ago. The 119th Congress kicked off with the smallest margin of control in modern history.
