Illegal Alien Goes on TV to Complain About Being Fined $1.8 Million for Ignoring Removal Order

An illegal alien that has racked up over $1.8 million in fines after refusing to leave the U.S. due to a removal order in 2005 has decided that it’s a good idea to go to the media for sympathy.
The Honduran woman, who is the mother of three U.S.-born children, received a notice on May 9 from ICE’s civil fines department. The agency calculated the fine at $500 per day for each day she remained in the U.S. since the 2005 removal order, bringing the total to $1,821,350.
As is evident from her media appearance to complain about this, at no point in staying an additional 20 years did she bother to learn English.
According to Newsweek:
The removal order was issued in April 2005 after the woman failed to appear at a scheduled immigration court hearing. Since then, she has continued to reside in Florida and is now the mother of three U.S. citizen children.
Her attorney, Michelle Sanchez, filed a motion in 2024 to reopen the case, arguing that her client was eligible for legal residency due to her long-term presence in the U.S. and her clean criminal record.
However, the motion was denied in March 2025, with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) citing a lack of prosecutorial discretion guidance from the Trump administration.
Stephen Miller promised that more of the same would be coming to illegals who refused to self-deport - and that those who don’t would face confiscation of their property in addition to fines.
