Jay Jones Endorsement Question Causes Abigail Spanberger to Implode

Abigail Spanberger turned into a robot when questioned on her endorsement of Jay Jones for Attorney General after texts of him fantasizing about the violent murders of his political opponents were made public.
She was asked about whether she still endorsed him during her debate with Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears last night – and refused to provide a direct answer, only instead reciting a scripted statement.
"We just want to clarify, what you're saying is, as of now, you still endorse Jay Jones as attorney general?" the moderator asked Spanberger.
"I'm saying, as of now, it's up to every voter to make their own individual decision. I am running for governor. I am accountable for the words that I say, for the acts that I take, for the policies that I have put out," Spanberger responded. "I am responsible for the policies I put out and the work I will endeavor to do tirelessly for the people."
But she wouldn’t say what *her* own individual decision on Jones was.
To the moderator’s credit, she followed up on the question multiple times, but couldn’t pry an answer out of Spranberger.
The reason she won't answer directly of course is because she does still support him, and will be voting for him regardless of his disturbing comments. The kind of leftists who spoke about the assassination of Charlie Kirk with glee last month weren’t just a handful of cranks relegated to the corners of the internet, they’re the mainstream left.
Despite condemning the comments, not a single Virginia Democrat has yet to withdraw their endorsement of Jones.
A poll days before the debate had the race tightening, with Spanberger leading by 3 points, with 5.6% of voters undecided. A month prior the same poll had her leading by 6.9 points, with 6.6% undecided, meaning that Spanberger’s lead has more than been cut in half with 5.6% undecided, and has primarily been losing ground due to people that were initially planning on voting for her changing their minds, not just the undecideds breaking the Sears.
