JD Vance Reveals How Democrats Acted Behind the Scenes During Shutdown

During an interview with Sean Hannity, JD Vance revealed that many Democrats appeared more reasonable on the government shutdown than they did publicly - but were afraid of the increasingly crazy members of their own party. 

Hannity asked him if he had discussions with Democrats “behind the scenes” during the shutdown. 

“Of course. Privately we were having conversations all the time. And, frankly, privately, the Democrats would recognize the position of their far left was crazy. But they all feel a little bit like they are being held hostage by their far left,” he told Hannity. He added that Schumer “probably ended his career, and he was the person who was fighting more than anybody to keep the government shut down.”
