Biden-Harris Commerce Secretary Goes Down in Flames During CNBC Hit

CNBCâs Joe Kernan was having none of it when Joe Biden Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo attempted to argue that our lives actually are better off thanks to the Biden presidency.
While normal people who compare the tentures of Trump and Biden are forced to admit that personality differences aside, their lives were better off under Trump, Raimondo attempted to turn that (usual) observation on its head.
âBy the way, he [Trump] was president. We know what that resulted in. Massive deficitsâŚâ she began to argue as Kernen chimed in;
It seems like you kind of forgot that earlier. The tariffs that he did put on were continued by the Biden administration. There was no recession, real wages were actually up, the stock market did well. A lot of very positive things happened â record low unemployment until the pandemic â so itâs just weird to act like itâs a complete wild card what kind of president he would be when youâve got a blueprint right there of what kind of president he would be. And Kamala Harris has been vice president for four years and weâve seen exactly what kind of vice president she would be.
She then tried to pivot and argue weâve seen âmore manufacturing in this country since World War II.â (At risk of misrepresenting her argument - I sure would hope thereâs more manufacturing going on today than roughly eight decades ago!)
Kernen fired back âIâve seen an open border. Iâve seen real wages go down. Iâve seen, you know, crime,â to which Raimondo said he â[doesnât] agreeâ with. Unfortunately, the statistics (i.e. reality) is in agreement with Kernen.
