Joy Reid Melts Down During Piers Morgan Interview

Joy Reid melted down during an appearance on Piers Morgan’s YouTube show after he showed a video of her crying after being fired, and told her to her face that she wasn’t fired for being a black woman. 

While Joy Reid has long gaslit the public with her first name, she took it to a new level and fired back at Piers that it was actually he who wants to racialize everything, unlike her.

During another part of the interview, Piers questioned Reid on why she never called Barack Obama racist for deporting people like she does to Trump. She didn’t even know how many people were deported under Obama’s tenure, which he informed her was 3 million. 

The Obama deportation numbers do need the important clarification that the Obama administration started counting people being captured at the border and sent back as “deportations” (as opposed to just interior removals), so that does juice the stats a lot.

Piers then confronted Reid with some of her past blog posts where she describes herself as “homophobic” that conflict with her current image as an “LGBT ally.” Reid infamously blamed the posts in question on Russian hackers when they were uncovered many years ago.

And of course, during the interview with Piers, she still refused to acknowledge writing the posts.
