Joy Reid Shares Some Deep Thoughts About Fascism
Liberals just canât stop downplaying the horrors of fascism by comparing anything they donât like to it.
Fired MSNBC host Joy Reid is going viral for some moments from a recent interview she gave with BET to discuss America being in its âfascist moment.â During the interview she came up with one example of âfascismâ in particular that drew widespread mockery; the freedom to run a business and pass your wealth onto your children as fascism.
âThey [the right] really miss the hierarchical past that we tried to leave behind, but thatâs not that old â weâre talking about the 1950s. They desperately want that world back, if not the â40s, â30s, or the 1890s. So, the goal of trying to force the country backwards to that late 19th century or early 20th century â theyâre very serious about it,â she said.
She then went on to share some of the supposed horrors: âAnd one of the reasons theyâre so serious about it is that if you go back before the 20th century, there were no income taxes, there were no regulations on business. You could earn as much money as you wanted, and leave 100% of it to your children with no taxes.â
âThatâs the world they want back. And to get it back, they need society to change. They need people to be less modern. They need people to want fewer things. They need people to be satisfied just being workers,â she bizarrely concludes.
During the interview she claimed that her viewership was up since involuntarily going independent. Her daily viewership at MSNBC was just under 1 million heading into her firing, while the most popular upload to her new show's YouTube channel has under 300,000 views, and the most recent upload (as of writing) has below 10,000.
