“It’s My Time, Not Yours” - Kash Patel and Cory Booker Get Into HEATED Exchange

FBI Director Kash Patel and Sen. “Spartacus” Cory Booker got into a heated argument as Patel appeared before a Senate oversight committee hearing. 

“Mr. Patel, in just eight months, you have assaulted the institutional integrity of the FBI,” Booker began to say in a comment designed to create a soundbite for social media. “But I know FBI field agents. I’ve worked with them in Newark. No matter how truly bad you are, you can’t undermine the legacy of agents who fight every day to keep us safe, but you can tarnish the integrity of the agency and undermine the agency’s capacity.”

He continued, telling Patel that he believes he’s failed as a leader, and that his management hast left the U.S. more vulnerable to domestic and foreign attacks as a result. “I don’t think you’re fit to head the bureau,” Booker said.

Patel immediately fired back. 

“That rant of false information does not bring this country together,” he responded.

When Booker attempted to interrupt him, Patel reminded him “It’s my time, not yours.”

Then things exploded. 

Booker replied, “My God! There you go. My God! You’re gonna lecture me about dividing this country?”

Patel maintained that he had the right to respond. “It is my time to address your falsehoods,” he said.

“You are an embarrassment to the division in this country.”

Booker countered, “You can try all you want to not take responsibility… for what you have said.”

Patel answered firmly, “You had your time! Your time is over!”

In another notable exchange, Patel told Adam Schiff to his face that he’s the biggest fraud in the Senate. 

We have countlessly proven you to be a liar in Russiagate, in Jan. 6. You are the biggest fraud to ever sit in the United States Senate, you are a disgrace to this institution and an utter coward,” Patel said.

“I’m not surprised that you continue to lie from your perch and put on a show so you can go raise money for your charade. You are a political buffoon at best,” he added.

“But all you care about is a child sex predator that was prosecuted by a prior administration,” Patel said, referring to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal,  adding that prior administrations “did squat” on the case.
