Kathy Hochul Brags About Dishing Out Tens of Millions of Taxpayer Dollars to Illegals

After failing to even acknowledge a number of recent high-profile crimes committed by illegal aliens in her state, New York Governor Kathy Hochul decided the right thing to do is tout dishing out taxpayer funds to illegal aliens.
As the New York Post reported:
ā(Immigrants) donāt have the attention, they donāt have the lawyers, and thatās why the state of New York is providing $50 million to cover legal services for people who are finding themselves in this situation,ā Hochul trumpeted outside a Manhattan courthouse after coming to Brad Landerās aid [The City Comptroller and mayoral hopeful who was detained by ICE after provoking them to arrest him]..
In making the comments, however, Hochul lowballed the figure as the state budget currently includes $64.2 million, not $50 million, for immigration legal aid.
And though the governor seemed to seek praise for the legal funding enacted into the new budget, Lander and his lefty allies have been pushing state officials for a much higher dollar amount.
The irony is palpable: while New Yorkers grapple with rising crime rates and the risks posed by illegal immigration, Hochul is more concerned with ensuring that illegals have access to legal representation than with protecting the people who elected her. Itās not just fiscally irresponsible but morally indefensible.
