Liberal Outlet Complains Trump’s EU Trade Deal “Too Good” for America

Yesterday President Donald Trump announced a historic trade deal with the European Union that included the EU agreeing to purchase an additional $750 billion worth of U.S. energy, and invest an additional $600 billion in the U.S.
The deal imposes a 15% tariff on most European goods to the U.S., including cars, which is lower than the 30% tariff Trump previously threatened, but higher than the 10% the EU was hoping for.
In response, at least one liberal publication, Axios, isn’t complaining that the deal is bad for the U.S. - but that it helps us too much.
“In the Trump-dominated global economy, the U.S. gets plenty but gives nothing in return,“ their reporting on the deal opens.
They are, in other words, tired of winning.
In the next line, under the header “Why it matters,” they “explain” that “This is the reality of the asymmetric trade deals touted by the White House, which show how far foreign leaders will go to safeguard access to the U.S. market,” as if it’s a negative.
As you’d expect, the reporting was widely mocked:
