Jasmine Crockett and AOC Could Go to Battle Over House Oversight Leadership Seat

The funniest battle in the history of U.S. politics may be about to unfold before our very eyes.
Reps. Jasmine Crockett and AOC could be on a collision course after Crockett started campaigning for a House Oversight Committee that AOC previously vied for and likely plans to pursue.
According to Politico:
Crockett has started pitching fellow Democrats on a run for the party’s top Oversight Committee position, according to two people familiar with the situation.
Crockett’s entreaties — playing out in phone calls, text messages and floor conversations — mark the beginning of a contested race to succeed Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) as Oversight’s ranking member. Rep. Stephen Lynch of Massachusetts is also seeking the job, though Connolly — who announced plans to step aside after suffering a recurrence of esophageal cancer — has not yet formally done so.
AOC has previously vied for the same position and ultimately lost to Rep. Connolly by an overwhelming majority of 131-84, and could be giving it another shot.
When asked if she intends to run, AOC did not rule out that possibility by saying it was “something that I’m weighing, but the seat is not yet vacated, and I think that’s a bridge we can cross when we get to it,” according to Politico.
AOC and Crockett have both been known for their low-IQ comments and outbursts, and have both been the subject of regular ridicule from President Donald Trump.
If the two do to go the battle over the seat, the infighting is guaranteed to be hilarious. Neither can play the female card or the race card, so it’ll be interesting to see what lines of attack they come up with for each other. I will admit, Crockett does make AOC look smart - by comparison.
