Lol: Ted Cruz Calls Cory Booker “Spartacus” During Tense Hearing

During one of the cringiest moments from the ear of the first Donald Trump administration, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker threatened to release confidential documents about then-Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh, referencing the 1960 Kirk Douglas film in declaring “This is the closest I’ll ever get in my life to an ‘I am Spartacus’ moment.”

It was a standout moment among the theatrics of the witch hunt against Brett Kavanaugh, which ultimately failed, and is still generating mockery six years later.

During a heated hearing on judicial tyranny, Booker and Senator Ted Cruz got into skirmish over protests at the homes of Supreme Court Justices. Cruz asked Booker a straightforward yes or no question: Should the Biden DOJ have enforced the law against protesting at the homes of Supreme Court justices when it was conservative justices being targeted?

Booker refused to directly answer the question, as he’s well aware of his own double standards - leading to a hilarious reply from Cruz; “So let the record reflect that Spartacus did not answer the question, and did not tell us whether the criminal law should be enforced, because he knows the answer is yes. And he knows that the Biden Department of Justice was being wildly political and partisan in refusing to enforce the law because they disagreed with the Supreme Court Justices' rulings.”
