Native-Born Employment Continues to Rise Big League Under Trump, Reversing Biden-era Trend

As Joe Biden touted falling unemployment during his tenure, he always left out one damning fact: that all net job growth under his watch went to the non-native born.
In November 2024, Bureau of Statistics data showed that all net job growth under Biden went to foreign-born workers, while the number of working U.S.-born citizens fell by 1.1 million.
And under Trump, all net job growth has gone to the native born.
In June 2025, the number of native born citizens employed increased by 830,000, while that of foreign-born workers decreased by 348,000. Since January 2025, the number of foreign born workers shrunk by over half a million, while that of the U.S.-born citizens have increased by over 2 million.
The decline in foreign born employment has been interpreted by some as proof of self-deportations. If that’s the case, there’s been over a million self-deportations thus far.
