This month the data came in confirming that after being flipped red by Donald Trump in November, the state of Nevada had officially had more registered Republicans than Democrats for the first time in 18 years. It was a minor edge, only 187 votes, and was caused by the Democrat Party losing registered voters at a faster rate than the GOP.

Meanwhile, things are looking more dramatic in New York.

While remaining solidly blue, Trump picked up nearly an extra six percentage points of the vote in New York in 2024 vs. 2020,

New York’s political landscape is shifting, with Republicans gaining a net 72,000 voters compared to Democrats in the past month (Republicans saw an increase of 23,311 registrations while Democrats lost 49,582).
