Payback: Texas Lt. Gov Floats Banning Biden From Ballot

Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick floated removing Joe Biden from the state ballot after Colorado removed Donald Trump from theirs.

While speaking to Laura Ingraham about Governor Greg Abbott’s new bill empowering Texas state police to enforce laws against illegal immigration, Patrick then argued that Biden’s handling of immigration is bad enough to disqualify him from the presidency - and suggested that he be removed from the ballot in retaliation for Colorado removing Trump. 

“Seeing what happened in Colorado makes me think, except we believe in democracy in Texas,  maybe we should take Joe Biden off the ballot in Texas for allowing eight million people to cross the border since he’s been president disrupting our state for more than anything anyone else has done in recent history,” Patrick said.

Trump’s primary rivals have taken his side following the Colorado Supreme Court ruling that removed Trump from the ballot, and the Colorado GOP is considering switching its presidential contest to a caucus in the event that Trump isn’t able to appear on the state’s primary ballot.Trump’s legal team is set to appeal the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling to the SCOTUS.
