Smug CNN Pundit Collides Head on With Facts

Ashley Allison, a CNN regular and owner of the far-left racist website “The Root,” attempted to deflect the blame on illegal aliens for increasing hospital wait times by instead blaming it on the closure of rural hospitals. 

According to her theory, wait times are getting so bad because rural hospitals are closing, and that’s forcing its would-be patients to drive hours to the cities, in turn clogging up hospitals. Somehow this seems more plausible to her than wait times being driven up by the roughly upwards of 30 million illegal aliens in the U.S. and their tens of millions of legal children getting free care through the emergency room loophole and Medicaid.   

Another guest, “Just Right Podcast” host Phil Williams, brought the facts, which immediately imploded Allison’s argument. “The average state spends 5% of its Medicaid, roughly, on emergency services. California? 35-40%. Why would that be? Because California passed a state law that says we will fund Medicaid for illegals,” he explained.

A study published in the Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health found that immigrants, including undocumented individuals, frequently use ERs for non-urgent conditions in lieu of primary care, exacerbating overcrowding and leading to prolonged lengths of stay and extended wait times for all patients. Research from the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine found that illegal alien stays are longer than average due to the language barrier.
