A Democrat who called for the assassination of President Donald Trump has been arrested following a large-scale human trafficking sting.
The man in question, Carl Sprayberry was arrested along with 18 additional individuals during a four-day operation in April.
Sprayberry was a former Democratic Party candidate for Georgia State House District 139, was arrested after the sting found those individuals to be communicating with children on the internet, arranging sex with children, and traveling for the purpose of having sex.
Sprayberry lost to Republican Carmen Rice, having garnered only 35.8% of the vote (to Rice’s 64%). He had received 100% of the vote in the Democrat primary, but was running unopposed.
The operation targeted individuals who attempted to solicit sex acts from minors through online dating sites and apps.
Sprayberry wrote “Bomb Mar-A-Lago,” on his now-suspended X account in February.
