Donald Trump Jr. arrived in Nuuk, Greenland, today for a private visit, following recent statements by his father, President-elect Donald Trump, advocating for U.S. acquisition of the Danish territory. Trump Jr.'s trip is reportedly for creating content for his podcast, with no scheduled meetings with Greenlandic officials.

President-elect/Acting President Trump has renewed his interest in Greenland, asserting that U.S. ownership is essential for national security and would offer economic benefits to Greenlanders. Trump has previously expressed interest in acquiring Greenland during his first term in office.

In response, Greenland's Prime Minister, MĂște Egede, has reiterated that the island is not for sale as he is pursuing greater independence from Denmark. Though he did say "Everyone is welcome to visit our country, including Trump. When the future president's son, who is also his own advisor, shows interest in our country, it means that Greenland is serious."
