“Quiet, Listen” - Trump Slams “Second-Rate” NBC Reporter Yamiche Alcindor

Donald Trump got into a brief heated exchange with reporters outside the White House over the weekend following backlash from triggered Illinois officials over a meme he posted on his Truth Social platform.
Trump shared an image depicting himself as Lieutenant Colonel William Kilgore, Robert Duvall’s character from the film Apocalypse Now, with the caption “I love the smell of deportations in the morning… Chicago [is] about to find out why it’s called the Department of War… Chipocalypse now.”
Predictably, the post caused liberals to go into hysterics, including Illinois’ Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson.
Hack NBC News White House reporter Yamiche Alcindor asked Trump if he intended to “go to war” with Chicago.
“When you say that, darling, that’s fake news,” Trump was responded.
When Alcindor started to reply, Trump continued, “Be quiet, listen! You don’t listen! You never listen. That’s why you’re second-rate. We’re not going to war. We’re gonna clean up our cities. We’re gonna clean them up, so they don’t kill five people every weekend. That’s not war, that’s common sense.”
Last year Chicago recorded 573 homicides, the 13th straight year they led the nation in total homicides.
After that exchange, Trump sparred with ABC’s senior White House correspondent Selina Wang when she asked why he would deploy troops to Chicago when there are cities in the U.S. with higher crime rates. It is true that there are cities with more homicides than Chicago relative to population, but even per-capita, Chicago still makes the top 10, making this question nonsensical.
"Excuse me, do you know how many people were killed in Chicago last weekend? Eight. Do you know many people who were killed in Chicago the week before? Seven. Do you how many were wounded? Seventy-four people were wounded. You think there’s worse than that? I don’t think so," Trump said.
