White House Attempts to Deny Knowing Anything About Unprecedented FBI Raid of Mar-a-Lago

Just weeks after Donald Trump said during a rally where he teased a 2024 run that Democrats would stop targeting him if only he said he wouldn't run again, the Biden administration's FBI has raided mar-a-lago in an unprecedented move. 

The raid was quickly celebrated by the swamp, who made it clear that it was all political.

Former Clinton campaign lawyer Marc Elias stopped just short of admitting as much, gleefully claiming that the FBI raid alone could disqualify Trump from running again in 2024, citing  U.S. Code Title 18, Section 2071. Elias also expressed optimism that legal challenges would prevent Trump from winning again, because "the idea that a candidate would have to litigate this is during a campaign is in my view a blockbuster in American politics." Another obvious possibility if that the January 6 committee really hasn't turned up anything, and this is another effort to find *anything* that could help them spin their false narrative. 

Meanwhile Meena Harris, the niece of the Vice President of the United States, took to Twitter to gloat about the raid.

And Hillary Clinton has already begun fundraising over it.

Likely due to the terrible optics of a federal raid on your potential 2024 opponent, the Biden White House is playing dumb. According to TownHall: 

As the FBI raided President Trump's Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, the White House was unaware that any federal law enforcement activity was afoot — or at least that's what unnamed sources were spinning to mainstream outlets Monday evening. 

According to one of those infamous "source familiar" people who runs their mouth without any accountability, senior White House officials found out about the FBI's raid on Trump's "Southern White House" like the rest of us and had no prior notice. The New York Times described the White House's discovery of the raid, reporting "Aides to President Biden said they were stunned by the development and learned of it from Twitter." Stunned. How convenient.

Suffice it to say, that claim or explanation isn't going to fly with a lot of Americans. The principal law enforcement agency of the federal government, the definition of executive power, decided to raid the home of the former president, and the White House didn't know anything about it until people started tweeting? 

That sounds like either the White House is lying or the FBI was shielding the White House from prior knowledge of the raid/scavenger hunt in Palm Beach — neither of which is a terribly good image for the FBI and Biden administration to be putting forward. 

What's more, if the White House really didn't know anything about the plans to raid Mar-A-Lago, who is overseeing the FBI and providing accountability for any of its other actions? 

Steve Bannon, who has also been relentlessly targeted by the swamp, explained how bogus the White House's obviously false narrative is; "They’ve weaponized the Justice Department – this had to be approved, going up to the White House to be approved. Absolutely. Anybody saying it didn’t is a liar. This had to go up through the chain of command, through Merrick Garland to Ron Klain, at least [FBI Director Christopher] Wray and these guys.  This is about pure power politics. They’re scared to death about Trump. They’re absolutely petrified terrified that he’ll announce in a couple of weeks, win the Republican nomination and win the White House."
