An Elon Musk-Backed Candidate Is Facing Off Against a Soros-Backed Candidate in Wisconsin Next Month

Is our Soros better than their Soros?

That’s about to be put to the test next month when an Elon Musk-backed candidate will be facing off against a George Soros (and then Alex Soros) backed candidate.

This race is for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, between Democrat Susan Crawford, who is currently Judge of the Dane County Circuit Court, and Republican Waukesha County Circuit Judge Brad Schiumel, who was previously the Attorney General of Wisconsin. Early voting has started in some places in Wisconsin where it’s available, and the election is on April 1st.

In addition to getting DAs elected, the Soros family has had prior success in getting Democrat Janet Protasiewicz elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court in the most expensive Supreme Court race in history. They funded her campaign to the tune of $2.8 million, and Soros-linked groups like A Better Wisconsin Together Political Fund spent $6.2 million, amid other spending.  She flipped the Wisconsin Supreme Court liberal for the first time in 15 years, in 2023.

This race will determine if the Wisconsin Supreme Court flips back to a conservative majority, or if the liberal majority increases with two of them of the Soros variety.

According to reporter Samantha Flom, in a rarity, it’s the Soros candidate being outspent for once.

Groups funded by Musk donated more than $11 million to benefit Schimel’s campaign, while Crawford benefited from $1.5 million in donations [Alex] from Soros and [Illinois Governor J.B.] Pritzker.

Amusingly, the Soros-backed Crawford has complained about Musk funding her opponent, and implied that it came just after Tesla sued Wisconsin for blocking its opening of new dealerships there, a clearly political move. It is currently not possible to buy a Cybertruck or Tesla Model Y in the state of Wisconsin.

Protasiewicz has accused Wisconsin’s legislative maps of being gerrymandered in favor of Republicans, while an email from days ago inviting people to a Crawford campaign event advertised her winning as an opportunity to “put two more House seats in play for 2026.”
