🚨 JD Vance’s Brother Won’t Be Intimidated

Here’s a story you’ll be shocked you haven’t heard of.

Police are investigating after someone fired a bullet into the Cincinnati church of VP JD Vance’s half-brother Cory Bowman.

Bowman is a Republican Mayoral candidate in Cincinnati. If Bowman wins, he’d be the first Republican Mayor to win their race in Cincinnati since 1971. Cincinnati's Mayoral races are officially nonpartisan, but candidates are affiliated with their parties by their voter registration.

Bowman said (in part) in a statement on X: “On Saturday, October 18th, 2025, during our preparation for service of our church at 503 Clark Street, we discovered a bullet hole that had penetrated an exterior window on the Clark Street side of the building.”

“It is worth noting that, over the past week, there have been several negative social media posts, specifically regarding my family’s personal residence and the church’s address. Posts that are made due to the nature of our current mayoral campaign,” the statement continued.

One thing is for sure - the left is only turning up the violence following the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

🏛️ Will the Government Shutdown End This Week? One Top Adviser Thinks So

As of this morning, the Schumer Shutdown is now tied for the second-longest shutdown in U.S. history. This week marks the third week of the shutdown.

But according to Kevin Hassett, the White House economic advisor, the shutdown could end this week.

Hassett told CNBC’s Joe Kernen that the Trump administration may impose “stronger measures” to force Democrats to cooperate.

“Now there’s a shot that this week, things will come together, and very quickly,” Hassett said. “The moderate Democrats will move forward and get us an open government, at which point we could negotiate whatever policies they want to negotiate with regular order.”

“I think the Schumer shutdown is likely to end sometime this week,” he added.

Hassett says that if the shutdown doesn’t end this week, OMB Director Russ Vought will have to look at “stronger measures.” Thus far, Vought has frozen $18 billion in New York City infrastructure spending, $2.1 on Chicago infrastructure spending, $11 billion for the Army Corps of Engineers projects, and cancelled $8 billion in climate/green energy grants.

🌍 The Art of the Rare Earth Deal

Trump has signed an agreement on rare Earth minerals with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

Albanese belongs to the center-left Australian Labor Party, which holds a majority (94 of 150 seats) in Australia’s House of Representatives and a minority in their Senate (29 of 76 seats, with no coalition partners).

“We’ve been working on that for quite a while,” Trump said of the deal as he hosted Albanese and his delegation in the Cabinet Room. “In about a year from now, we'll have so much critical mineral and rare earths, and you won’t know what to do with them.”

The Epoch Times reported “The deal comes as the Chinese regime has weaponized global supply chains in recent weeks by significantly expanding its export controls on rare earths and minerals. A day before the meeting, Trump again expressed his displeasure with Beijing’s actions.”

China currently controls between 60-70% of global rare-earth ores, and over 90% of refined materials and magnets.

Both countries will be investing a combined $8.5 billion in mining and processing of critical minerals and rare Earths.
